PhD and post-doctoral researchers from Manchester’s Isotope Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry group have been working on an Earth and planetary science podcast, The Cosmic Cast.
On The Cosmic Cast, they talk to researchers, from PhD to professor level, about their research and their career path. So far, they’ve spoken to a range of members of the UK planetary science community, from academics like Jamie Gilmour and Katie Joy, to ESA scientists Dayl Martin and Elliot Sefton-Nash.
The podcast is pitched at undergraduate level, but is aimed at anyone who is keen to learn more about Earth and planetary science. Through the podcast, we’re hoping to help people understand the diverse range of topics that exist in Earth and planetary sciences and to make science seem more accessible. The podcast is available on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts. If you’d like to be a guest on a future episode, please get in touch with podcast host, Marissa Lo, at marissa.lo@manchester.ac.uk.
